Armageddon ~ the fight that ends all fights.

Suppose that History is not continuous, but rather is cyclical; and that the beginning of each cycle is like a new birth in the World, a birth which emerges from a previous cycle, like a seed to begin the new era.

Suppose that the present era began sometime after the fall of a previous cycle, which had reached the height of maturity in relation to its spiritual development. Its expansion on the globe became stagnant, and it fell and disappeared from the face of the Earth. But all the good efforts and experiences of its people shifted to another level of existence - the Spirit World - Our Larger Being.

Our Larger Being then re-enters the World, replenishes his seed, leaves some rules to follow, and then retreats back into the Spirit World, to become the hidden aspect behind History. If so, the story of Eden could represent the description of our present beginnings, and Adam and Eve could represent the circumstances under which humanity developed.

The snake was the carnal voice from the past, reminding the new residents, of their animal instincts, and the 'apple of desire' is the tool which made us become aware of the struggle between our hearts and our minds. The fight between Cain and Abel is a living example of how Conscience entered the scene, and why humanity has to struggle up from under its injustices - because of that very first act.

Each era functions within distinct guidelines that originate from our Larger Being. Each set of rules came into play through an act of history. Each old act, sets the precedent for future newer acts (to overcome). The story of Genesis then, is a description of how the acts were instilled into the psyche of humanity, through our Larger Being.

History functions within guidelines that originate from the Spirit World, but which work themselves out in stages of growth, through History. Each event, gets recorded and stored in the Dream World - a kind of archetypal ‘hard drive’ that’s available to the Dreamer, through the Collective Unconscious of Humanity.

These were the conditions under which the present era began. During the early days, our Larger Being was able to focalize much more clearly, and made many appearances; to set up the conditions under which He could enter the psyche of humanity. He did this through first developing a sense of right and wrong.

He then divided His people into types and tribes, which set the precedent for developing cultural and ideological strains. Whenever Humanity reached a point in history which marked the final stages in the development of a certain cultural aspect or trait, He would create an impasse, and slip in a new rule or ruler, to open up a way out of our dilemma. Each time, a higher level of social awareness was reached, and a new political paradigm began.

When Jesus Christ came on the scene, the world was ready for a messiah. He was able to provide the world with a whole new set of guidelines, because His life so dramatically altered the conscience of humanity. (He provided contrast to the evil of the times).

Since that day, the Christ spirit has gradually taken up residence within the psyche of humanity. He is no longer apparent in the world, but closer to us now than ever.

The human spirit is continually renewing itself through life and death. It is struggling ever higher through the historical process in the world. In effect, the opposing divisions in the human soul (Part Three) as well as in the world, provide our Creator with the perfect setting for the spiritual development of humanity. It is because of the split within, and in the World, that 'the fight' for Justice continues.

Our awareness is also expanding through leaps and bounds. It is the social structures in the world which provide the background for that interaction to take place. The 20's, 30's, 50's, and 60's, mark the spans through which our culture has matured.

However, the spiritual life of our planet (our Larger Being) is progressing in stages, which span an Era. It is this era which could be coming to a turning point, and which will affect us all, when that time comes - In the same way that our personal spirit sometimes needs renewal, the world needs to reflect on the consequences of its present direction.

Although the two opposing ideologies in the world are no longer facing off against each other, we have a new problem - the ‘fight’ between East and West, is now moving into the streets and neighborhoods of the world. And that’s because we aren’t dealing with the injustices that separate us.

These Injustices need to be dealt with before we can be totally free. We need to become aware of the consequences of continuing in our present direction. There is no way that arming the world will benefit us collectively. If we could get rid of the ‘small’ weapons in the world, things will start to improve. I Believe.

Instead of sending troops overseas, we should be ordering them to surround the weapons manufacturers.

I think History is bringing us to the brink. The final conflict, or Armageddon, can be described as the end of all tension in the world, and the beginning of a lasting peace. From the Native perspective, it is called the Great Purification. It is a chapter in the life of the world, which we may have to face in this Millennium.

In a way, the process is self-actualizing. To the extent that we are out of balance with our Mother Earth, to that extent the impasse looms before us. If we continue to move in the same direction we’re heading, the terrorism in the world will increase.

The ‘fight’ that began with Cain and Abel is becoming a burden the world can no longer bear.

Armageddon or the Great Purification comes at the end of the ‘fight’.
