You must come to recognize,
that the Battle you are fighting is
within
You.
That the 'faces' you create,
are the avenues you take,
away from your true Center.
That the fighting you do,
is a result of the 'split' between
you, and your True Self.
You have lost your Honor and Dignity,
and you have sold your Self - for others,
a reflection of what you think is expected of you.
You have lied, cheated and conned,
to protect that 'face' from becoming
exposed,
a 'mask' you created in the fear of Your exposure.
Each time you turn away from your true
Center,
you create a 'gap' between who you
image
your Self to be, and who you really
are.
You have made an Enemy out of your
Self,
and you can no longer accept your Self for what it is

a 'False face'' -

I want to talk about this 'split', because
it's not something we can easily avoid . . .
We live in a circle, the center of a circle. All around us are images and personalities, which we relate with,
in order to keep our self-image alive.
This is our safe circle, made up of the friends and acquaintances that
provide us with the mirrors we need - the circle we have created in order to
feel acceptable in our society.
The problem is this lesser circle can become a circle of security, if we
fail to make proper decisions regarding our lifestyle.
It's more difficult today, because we tend to see things from a media
perspective. We're not always aware of who we really are, because we've taken
on images which are not real. They're being generated by a society that's full
of false images.
In fact the whole scene is one false image, being flashed at us through
the media. It's often difficult to
distinguish what's real from what isn't. When we finally step out into the
world, we may find ourselves in a crisis, because it's not the same as on TV.
We’ve lost touch with our true Self, and are living out the consequences of our
pretense.
The Native people approach life in a more connected way. They say that
life is a Circle - a Family Circle, and when you are standing in its center,
you are standing at the Center of the Universe. All the relations (connections)
that you have ever made are standing in that Circle with you.
It's a good approach, because when we stir up trouble, the people we
irritate are not going to disappear, they also live in the Circle. We may not see them again, but the
unresolved issues will come up in other faces
- we can’t escape our past.
If we can come to recognize that the 'enemy' we create can
bring us down - if we don't settle our differences, it gives us good reason to
learn how to behave.
I have come to recognize that there are two 'sides' to my nature; and
that each side corresponds to an opposite side within. Our right side is our doing side, and our
left side is, where our doing comes from.
Each side is like an attribute of our selves, and each corresponds to a
hemisphere within. One hemisphere is predominantly intuitive, and the other is
predominantly active. Most people are not conscious of this split, and are
usually dominant in either their intuitive or their active hemisphere.
But sometimes we get stuck, because one side of our personality
dominates. The other side becomes alien to us, and we become unbalanced. The
other side becomes the missing part of our lives, which we avoid in fear of
losing security in our dominant side. Hence a struggle between sides ensues,
and the fight to remain secure begins.
Usually this fight finds its battleground between the sexes, because each
gender is also predominantly intuitive or active in its origin. And that's because of the Nature of
Creation. We need to recognize that the
male is predominantly aggressive, and that the female is predominantly bonding,
but not always; sometimes it's the other way around.
A strong plus for separating out the dominant characteristics, which make
up our nature, is to get a better perspective of what lies in between. Both sides originate from the Creator; one
side comes from the Creator's will, and the other side from His heart – His
compassionate feelings of love.
