An open letter to politicians everywhere ~

Could I have your attention please!

I am a Canadian, I fear for my Country, my Children, and my Land.

In recent weeks, I have been becoming increasingly concerned with how events in the world have been turning, and because I love Freedom, I would like to take this opportunity to speak.

We are in the midst of a great world transition. There is an exciting spirit of economic co-operation flourishing in the world, yet at the same time there is blatant poverty and extreme suffering throughout much of the world.

~ It would appear, economic stability is only available to those who’ve reached a certain level of wealth - -

Anyone today who’s accumulated that wealth, can if properly administered, make their money work for them. There are a lot of people in that category today.  However, there are many more people out there who are at the other end of the stick, and because the gap between the rich and the poor is so much greater now, it’s almost impossible for them to reach an acceptable level of “economic security”.

In the past it was much easier. We were in the midst of the growth era, and we all wanted to see the Great Dream come true.  However, it's all become twisted now, and I think I know what's causing the problem.

Because of the enormous amount of money that's accumulating in the coffers of the banks, the corporations, and the very rich  - the rich are getting richer, and the poor, poorer. I know it’s a simplistic way of looking at it, but hey it’s true – The poor are the victims of this game!

“You say there is equal opportunity.” I say it’s only available to some. Accumulated wealth has destroyed the true meaning of “liberty and equality”. Our National Dream is failing, because economic freedom is only available to ‘the few at the top’.

"You are leaving behind the majority of the people of the world - the poor and the suffering".

"Your social policies mask the truth, rather than create equality.  And your defense policies are a desperate attempt to protect the great wealth and freedom you have accumulated.

“You use the excuse that you need to protect the ways of ‘the Eagle’, our Democratic way of life.  But that ‘freedom’ is only available to a small proportion of your People. So I'm wondering Mr. Politician - what is it that you're really trying to protect?"

“By trying to protect your economic ‘interests’, are you not in effect, digging your own graves?  Selling arms to one country, and then to another, only benefits some: The individuals who make the arms, the governments who sell them, and the corporations whose great wealth is protected by those arms. What about us?  What about the People of this world?

What has been happening here, because of Capitalism, is now beginning to happen on a global scale.  The rich industrialized nations are getting richer, and the poor nations are becoming poorer. The money they spend on those arms is not helping their people - it's only creating fear and conflict. War is breaking out in the streets  - people are fighting people, and armies are fighting armies. It’s a frightening game and it’s got to stop!

The people who live in those nations are in real trouble, because their governments are doing exactly the same thing as ours.

Their governments are signing treaties with our governments, to protect their economic interests from becoming politically insecure. The majority of people in the world are losing out on the economic potentials that exist in those lands, because Governments throughout the world are aligning themselves with the economic community - rather than the People who’ve elected them.

How did we get ourselves into this mess?  For sure money has got something to do with it. But I think it's also got something to do with the ideological and religious differences that separate us:

~ Communism and Democracy are the two main ideological modes, which exist in the world today. Until recently, these two ideological opposites were struggling to maintain power over each other, and for a time, we came close to losing it all. That danger is no longer imminent. However, the younger Nations are now fully armed, and the weapons are still out there. The fighting is increasing - and local Peoples are now becoming the victims of war.

Religious fanaticism seems to have taken over where political ideologies have failed ~

The situation is becoming serious. Unfortunately governments are adding to the problem, by continuing to support the alliance that keeps the rich in supply and the poor in demand.

It is the imbalance between the rich and the poor, which is creating the problem. And now it appears there's a rallying to defend those riches, by Governments and Corporations throughout the world.

But it cannot continue. Our planet is beginning to deteriorate, because corporations are stripping the Earth of its natural resources - We could be in danger of losing it all again.

I wonder Mr. Politician, if you’re willing to make a change in directions, for the People of the world?

I am only an individual, but I live in a Nation which is fast losing it’s sense of Direction, and which could lose everything if we don’t deal with the historical injustices that exist in our world.

----------------------------------------------

“I drafted that letter in October of 1981 ~ We are now living in a new Millennium, we should be well on the way towards Global Peace, but that’s not happening ~

Nothing has changed.

Politicians have not made a change in Directions as they should have.

In fact we are moving in a dangerous direction now.

Someone shattered the seat of the Economic Summit and put a kink in the thread of  Time.

The situation in the world is not going to be easy to change now, because Time is no longer in our favor.

Terrorism has shown it’s ugly face. Drawing us away from dealing with the Real issues, issues which should have been dealt with long ago.

I don’t believe September 11th was an attack against our Freedoms. It was an attack against Wealth. George Bush and his Economic Alliance were feeding us a bunch of rhetoric that just wasn’t true.

Because of this dishonesty ~ not only in the government ~ but in the media as well, we’re developing a false picture of world events.

The fact is, Our World is out of Balance

I believe it’s Money that’s at the root of it.

To understand why, think of it this way ~

Imagine that all the Wealth in the World, is sitting in a giant glass city.

Towers of glass,  Surrounded by a dessert of sand.

Barely visible through the glass stand 3 large red letters

                                    ~ $$$ ~

We are all working for those 3 letters (like a bunch of ants running back and forth).

The ants must cross the desert to get to the ‘grass’.

From the city, across the desert, and into the grass ~ ‘hordes of ants’,

running back and forth, packing products, packing food

This is the Problem then:

The city of glass is expanding.

But the dessert over which the ants must pass is becoming more barren.

And the grass  turned brown a number of years back.

The ‘ants’ are running frantically now.

The supply lines are being stretched, and those in control are fencing in the remaining ‘grass’ to protect their interests $$$

Unfortunately, that’s what politicians all over the world are doing ~ supporting ‘their’ interests.

But it cannot continue.  Some of the ‘ants’ are starting to fight back now, and it won’t be long before we take another hit.

Money is part of the problem for sure.

But it’s not just money,

It’s politics.

It’s our Ideology.

We think Freedom and Democracy are the best,

and we want, and we wish for the rest of the world to be the same.

But unfortunately that’s just not happening.

Here’s why:

It seems society is divided along 2 lines of thought.

There are those who strongly believe in free enterprise and capitalism.

But others do not feel the same.

They say that the needs of the poor are being neglected,

And that our Earth is beginning to suffer.

This struggle between our individual freedoms and our Collective concerns goes on because there is no Collective Agreement in place for ‘the People of the World’.

As long as Wealth - and the accumulation of that wealth - is allowed to run rampant in the World, there will always be a percentage of the People who will resort to some kind of action against those in power.

Terrorism is increasing in the world because we don’t have a voice that speaks for Humanity

Humanity needs a Voice that can speak for all of Us

That’s what Communism should be ~ a Voice from our Collective Being

But that Collective Voice isn’t happening

Because the effects of Communism have stained the playing field

It’s not that People haven’t tried.

Communism started out with tremendous public support

They wanted it to be a Global movement, but it didn’t work.

That’s not saying that they were wrong

or that they were right.

Maybe the World wasn’t ready.

Maybe the idea wasn’t quite right.

Or maybe the wrong people were at the helm.

It just didn’t work.

However, I strongly believe that there will never be Peace on Earth until we get a Voice that speaks for Humanity.

It’s all of us speaking Together.

We need this ~ this will be good for the world.

Communism has definitely left a bad impression in the World.

But we need to remember,

Our Democracies were founded under no too pleasant circumstances either.

We basically invaded societies that already had governing systems,

And pushed our idea of what we thought was best,

Into their faces.

The effects of Colonialism are still being felt throughout the world.

~ Under Communism people were dominated by military might.

~ We on the other hand, are being dominated by something much more subtle:

Money $$$

For much of that, Colonialism is to blame.

The gap between the rich and the poor is a continuation of that land grab.

We’ve got serious Problems in the World,

Because our societies are being motivated by money.

Our Politicians should be able to provide us with a solution.

But unfortunately they’re part of the problem.

They’ve bought into plan that keeps the rich in supply and the poor in demand.

They didn’t plan it that way, but that’s what’s happening

Terrorism & religious fanaticism is increasing in the world because governments and corporations are corroborating to protect their own interests.

The world is suffering because a good proportion of the money in the world is serving those ‘interests’.

We need to deal with the vast differential that separates the rich from the poor.

September 11th has added to that problem ~

We’ve had to take on a defensive stance,

And that’s not doing us any good.

It’s only creating more fear and conflict.

The fact is we’ve lost our Direction.

We knew where we were going back in the 50’s and the 60’s.

But it all seems to be falling apart now.

Our collective purpose seems to have vanished.

No one knows where we are going now!

The lives of the People of this planet are being jeopardized now.

Because the face of terrorism is forcing us to make choices which are not in the best interests of our Collective Being,

Putting us at risk - and our future in doubt.

Unfortunately, the battle against terrorism will not be won until the poverty in the world is dealt with.

Clearly ~ Wealth needs to be monitored more closely in the World.

But how does one do that without disrupting the very structure of our Society?

If it weren’t for the ‘economy’ there would be much greater instability in the World.

Anarchists would do the same. Who do you think they would support,  themselves, right?

Who is going to decide on whom to cut out – and whom to support?

 It’s a difficult question.

The imbalance that exists in the world is being caused by Money.

And why is that?

No one wants to invest in people anymore.

The money should be coming back to our Communities - but it’s not

It’s being battered around in the stock market.

And as a result our Communities are suffering, and our social network is falling apart.

Money is the Problem – but greed is the progenitor.

It’s difficult to put a finger on it,

because it’s something we inherited from previous generations.

There is only one way of dealing with it,

and that is to deal with the Injustices that preceded it.

The only way we can change the negativity in our Society,

is to deal with the historical injustices that divide us.

These injustices were created because of our insensitivity to previous generations,

our Ancestors.

If we don’t deal with our Historical Injustices, our Earth will decline spiritually.

There is a Solution but some people just don’t want to see it happen.

Some people think we can solve all our problems with force.

I think we need to identify what it is we’re fighting before we start.

It seems most of the battles being fought these days are a direct result of religious interference in political disputes.

When religion enters the battleground Peace becomes increasingly hard to achieve.

The term “Axis of Evil” was probably coined by a small group of Christian fundamentalists, but look at the damage it’s done.

It’s this kind of talk that’s helping to fuel the religious fanaticism in the world.

(The increasing evidence of ‘western decadence’ on the streets and screens of the world isn’t helping either).

We need to be careful how we flaunt our personal freedoms, in the light of the extreme poverty that’s happening elsewhere.

If it is Freedom that we’re trying to spread throughout the world, then we need to be setting a better example ~

Perhaps a more spiritual approach is necessary  - should be more evident

I believe that the religious experience can be experienced by Everyone.

Those who have experienced the Presence of the Lord/Spirit in their lives view decadent behavior as an affront against their God

(The Creator, Allah, etc.).

Decadent behavior is what helps generate those negative attitudes towards western lifestyles.

Religions can provide us with a liberating experience, but we need to remember that ALL religions were formed by MAN.

And that no matter what we would like to Believe, the religious EXPERIENCE is ONE that comes through to us from the Spirit world.

It’s a MEMORY of the PRESENCE we SHARE when we are in the SPIRITUAL MEDIUM.

Problems arise when BELIEFS get in the way.

Certain religious leaders implement rules to try and prevent certain behavior from happening.

(It’s primarily to help facilitate their religion, but what invariably happens is that people lose their freedoms).

I’m positive the Prophets didn’t want that - they left us with guidelines not rules.

No one has the right to impose religious attitudes (rules) on socially vulnerable peoples.

And there are a large number of those today because of the increasing gap between the rich and the poor.

That’s how religion gets ‘attached’ to the land - becomes regionalized.

Religions can pose a threat to Global Peace when it gets locked in to constitutions.

Once countries start forming religious States and accumulating weapons,

it’s only a matter of time before they try and impose those ideals on their surrounding partners.

That’s what’s happening in the Middle East ~ the cultural differences between East and West are coming to a head.

The Spiritual experience packs power because it comes from a Universal Source.

It can be felt.

The West can’t understand this, because by and large it’s not being felt;

Christianity has yet to come up with a form of spirituality that can extend into our society ~

Transform our society (maintain a level of Conscience in society).

It’s not happening because fundamentalists/extremists have managed to bog down their theology in the middle ages!

Unfortunately this is true in the East as well as the West ~

If we don’t deal with the cultural gap between East and West, the rich and the poor, the terrorism in the world will increase ~

“Peace on Earth” will become unattainable and our Future will pass into the Abyss.

Here’s what I think needs to be done:

I suggest we extend our democratic power ~

How do we do that?

It need not be a Revolution,

we simply need to identify our Concerns,

and then secure them Collectively,

in an Agreement ‘as a Whole’.

(We need Two Constitutions in every Land [Part 1 - Two Constitutions] ~ One for the Democratic process, and a second Global Constitution for the Protection of the Earth and its living environments. (A Global Constitution that has jurisdiction over political systems).

Primarily to secure the Earth ~ For All Peoples for all Time

I believe, it’s the best way to balance the gap between the rich / Nations/ and the poor.

But there could be other benefits as well ~

(A Global Constitution could help spread democracy, without the use of force)

It could be the best way to secure our democratic rights Globally.

How do we secure those rights?

I’m not sure, but I think we may need to call “Time Out”.

Make them sit down and listen!

War is not the answer, it will only create more terrorists.

It’s Time to end it!

We need to Identify our Concerns and Secure them Collectively.

Our History (Democracy) will not be complete until WE gain that VOICE.

It’s part of the process of becoming Whole.

(However, this process is being stifled now because money is at the helm ~ )

We’re possessed - With the Image and the Lifestyles

that the Economic Summit wants us to see.

The task then  is:

One

of getting rid of the Image ‘they’re pushing on us,

And replacing it,

With our own Image.

One

that is much ‘closer’ to us.

In tune with the ever Changing universe that we live in.

At-One

with the mother we All share,

Our Dear Mother Earth..

(In order to balance the playing field ~ I suggest we Repossess it).

If we don’t - $$$ - it could take us all down $$$

And our World with it.
